The instructions are very simple once you download the app. It lets you set up your fingerprints directly from the app. You can also use the app to lock and unlock, but I'll probably just use my fingerprints. It's ideal for gym lockers: you no longer need to remember or type in a code, or carry keys. The lock goes into sleep mode as soon as any operation is finished to save battery. Since I plan to use it only at the gym, I'm not too worried about battery life, etc.

The lock arrived almost fully charged and was fairly easy to set up (although the instructions didn't clearly explain how to tell when charging was complete; I had to improvise a bit). The lock opens on the right side, which is a minor complaint; it's just odd because all the locks I've used have always opened on the left. It's also considerably bulkier than a standard padlock. My biggest problem is the app needed to use all the lock's features: it's poorly designed, slow, and has some settings that aren't explained well, or aren't explained at all. Overall, the lock feels very sturdy and well-built, and it works well, delivering exactly what it promises. While it's slower to unlock than you'd expect, it's still about as fast as a traditional keyed lock. What it lacks in speed, it more than makes up for in convenience. So far I haven't had any problems with the fingerprint reader, so I hope it lasts me a long time.

Setup was very easy on my Android phone. Other electronic locks only mentioned iOS compatibility, but this model works perfectly with Android. You have to keep your thumb or finger on the reader for a few seconds for the lock to unlock. Even so, it's far better than having to use or lose a physical key, or struggling with a forgotten combination. You can also unlock it from the app, but I like to be elegant and use my fingerprint 😎

I bought two so I could alternate them if one's battery started to run low… I think it's been over six months using just one, and it's still working perfectly. The setup can be a little tricky for some because you have to register it through an app (which is very easy to use, but if you don't use your phone much, you might not know how to download it). Once you get past that step, it's a great product and lasts a very long time before needing to be recharged.
